The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists

Who will paint your portrait? CSOPA Match Artists have agreed to create original head and shoulders portraits specifically for this event.
This is your opportunity to personally experience the ancient tradition of portraiture. You select your artist during the opening reception, and arrange to meet for your portrait sitting(s) and/or photo studies during the month of October.

Preregistration is free and ensures you or your proxy has priority in choosing a Match Artist at the reception. Plan to arrive at 1:30 before the general public enter at 2 pm. Your guests are welcome for early admission with you. If you want us to choose an artist for you, kindly specify on the registration form.

Unveiling of Match Portraits will be during the Closing Ceremony on October 28. You are welcome to invite family and friends to this exciting event.

The option to buy is one price for all: $500. There is no obligation for models to purchase, however you can buy your portrait for $500 from the artist. A portion of proceeds benefit Arts Escape and CSOPA. The artist retains 60% which is subject to CT tax where applicable. Unsold portraits remain the property of the artists
