I started to paint at an early age and knew it was something I always needed to do in my life. After high school I studied graphic arts at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU). I continued painting trying different mediums and I found water color to be a challenge that improved my skills as a painter. Most of my early works were watercolor “wet on dry”. I then moved to oil on canvas and really found it to be most rewarding. I continue to learn about oil painting every time I sit at my easel. It is something about moving oil paint across a canvas and making it come alive. I find I get lost in time when I paint. I want my viewers to feel what I’m trying to express in my works. If the viewer can see that, I did my job.
