In 7th grade, Francis was told to draw a picture & the end results surprised the teacher, class mates, and Francis himself! This was the catalyst that compelled this sensitive painter to continue with what he knew was a bright candle shining within him. Along the way there was confirmation all around him that this was the destiny for his life. Good friends, other soldiers in the military, and support of family, especially his father Nelson Philibert, all were vital to his pursuing the brush.
